Bon chance! I look forward to seeing "real world" fitment pictures of various interference points and other details that you encounter vs. my partial and "theoretical" fitment observations and calculations.

That's a good point. I'll document it when (if?) I do it.

Even if I never complete this, it might be useful for others.

Best regards.

JoBy, curious on how your transmission swap is going? Sorry for bringing back an old thread. I had to move my LS engine ahead forward 0.5in for it to clear the firewall. The 700R transmission has tons of room now. I was wondering if you thought of doing the same with your SBC? I would also mill off the factory 4L80 trans brace area some for the extra clearance. I think you could use most of your old exhaust system. Of course you would have to extend the c beam some, but looks like you can weld.

On my car, I just cut the factory C beam in half and added extra length.

Curious if your running manual valve or going electronic?

Cheers buddy, awesome build as always.

Well, I finished the swap back in 2005 and originally used a TCI T-Com to control shifts.

Now I have a MaxxECU controlling both engine and transmission.
Exhaust has seen a few modifications over the years.

First layout with dual 3"

Current with a 5" center pipe

Moving anything forward is not an option for me.
