need help with cylinder head selection (L98, 1987)
I'm planning to replace my stock cylinder heads (valve guide problem) either with a bolt-on unit or by having mine rebuilt with custom porting. I'm considering 3 options: 1) Edelbrock performer heads ($1100), 2) TPIS L98 stock head castings ($1250), or 3) having my stock heads (1987 casting) rebuilt with the necessary performance porting (??$). What is the best choice? How much would you figure having the stock heads rebuilt would cost? Are there other choices?

If you are willing to spend $1250 on TPiS heads, then pick up a set of AFRs and be done with it. :yesnod:
I recently sold my stock 166k mile 1987 cylinder heads on eBay for $450, so you will be able to reclaim some of your costs. :yesnod:
