Sanap on MT2500 accessories needed?
I can find the 2500 used units for less than $100 but they come with nothing. What all needs to be purchased for use on my 90 base? The higher priced ones come with accessories that I would never use.
It seems purchasing the body and only the accessories needed is a much cheaper route.
Can someone provide me a list with part numbers or pictures??
Thanks!
Wade

You will need the correct year primary cartridge and trouble shooter cartridge, a GM-1 connector, a data cable to connect the scanner to the connector, and a power cord. You can get either a battery clip power cord or cigarette lighter power cord. If you want to look at ABS you will need the ABS cartridge and GM-3 connector. There is also a trans trouble shooter cartridge.

Here are the part numbers. I have two MT2500's with some extra accessories.
GM-1 (MT2500-10)
Multi-1 (MT2500-90) for ABS
Cigarette Lighter power cable (MT2500-100)
Battery power cable (MT2500-200)
Data cable (MT2500-5000)
Primary Cartridge (MT2500-1099) GM-Chrysler-Ford-Jeep
Fast Track Troubleshooter (MT2500-2998) GM-Chrysler-Ford-Jeep
General Motors Reference Manual (ZMT2500-1097-1) 8TH Edition or newer
I hope this helps,
Mick

Great tool to have. I think you will find it is cheaper to just find one with the accessories listed above included. I think I gave $150 and it had a bunch of the plug ins, cables etc. They are always on EBay so good luck on your search.
