LT4 Hot Cam kit Help
I am already planning to install a meziere water pump, and while I'm in, I may consider some more work, specifically the opti and an lt4 hot cam.
What are the benefits/implications of installing the lt4 hot cam kit on a '95 6 speed vette? The motor is currently at approx 94,000 miles. Is there any tuning required or the addition of a chip?

The idle will need to be redone to be smoother. Ed Wright can do it all, and it will make a difference. Theres more than just the idle with Ed, Like driveability, Top End etc. Over all, my friends Grand SPort needed a Recal of the computer, and after having it done, it was much better, even though the idle was the only thing he thought he needed, as the factory was a little low rpm wise. SO, Ed did his and it was a new beast. Mid twelves on BFG KD's, factory gearing and no headers. Not Bad.
The Meizer is another topic, I have only seen one on a friends, and he loves it. Do the OPTII while you have it off, dont skimp on this part. Steve

benefits will be a gain of 30-40hp
But you will need the reprogramming done or the engine will not make optimum power and the idle wont be smooth.

GM sells it, should be about the same price everywhere, but i would call Jeff Kopp at Superior Chevrolet, his number is in a thread somewhere on this page.
It comes with pretty much everything you need i think. Its only a few hundred.
