Default KC4 oil cooler option

I have been having a difficult time finding out any information about the KC4 option on my '85. Specifically, how to remove it to replace the seal. I suspect an oil leak where the oil cooler meets the block. Does it just spin off like the oil filter once the coolant hoses are removed? I plan on replacing the hoses as well since they are probably original to the car. Thanks in advance.

There is a nut above thoil filter. I have not removed it but I checked it for tightness last oil change.
I have "heard" you can use an oil filter seal up on top also. eidt Mabey as a temporary fix don't blow your engine up. Check it out.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. With any luck, I will be able to tackle it this weekend.

The nut is an inch or 1 1/8". You can use either a socket or a large crescent wrench with another wrench to turn it.
