Don't start throwing parts at what you think it "might" be...get a diagnosis and pinpoint the problem.

I would suggest replacing your fuel filter. It is designed to collect moisture from the fuel. Sometimes, if the drain near the fuel filler gets clogged, and if your fuel cap vents, it can suck moisture into the tank during a rain. Because of Ethanol in fuel, moisture is a big problem in these cars. Small amounts of moisture in the fuel filter can cause the car to die at idle. Let the car set over night so the moisture will settle into the fuel filter before replacing.

As it turns out. Its the icm. Wondering if i should keep the new Borg Warner opti unit or return it.

I vote to return it. Most replacement optis of any brand are nowhere near as good as the OEM part. There are a very few options for good replacements to keep on the shelf, and BW probably isn't one of them.

Make sure you get adequate thermo grease between ICM and the heat sink.
