1988 C4 Stops running when hot outside
I have a 1988 C4 that just stops running while I am in traffic, motion, or drive thru. It will start back up again if I push the pedal to the floor and crank for a few seconds. I might add that it only started doing this a week ago when we started experiencing 110 degree weather. The car starts good in the morning and runs well, and in the evening as well. It just seems to be around noon to 5 that it stops running. I started with the fuel pump and replaced. A friend of mine says that he thinks it is either the fuel regulator on the manifold, or the cold start injector, or the injectors themselves. Any other ideas, or anyone who solved the same issue?
