I'm either fighting for my (well my parents money since it was a gift) back or getting one that isn't foobar. Although there is a cnc machine just chilling out in the engineering building... Once that is sorted I have been laying out a nice cam and head combo that I think will work nicely for my final goals for the car... We'll see.

To add insult to injury, today I finally looked at the intake and took some picture to demonstrate some of my frustrations and things I missed on installation.
The intake runners lined up to how the gasket was set on the heads... Note: as you go right it looks like I have the gasket tilted. It is straight but the end is off the face a little and the shadowing from the flash looks like I'm distorting reality. The left side is correct and flat to around the egr opening where it is lifting by the left bolt hole there.
The Thermostat Housing with gasket over it... The covered side has the lip resting right where the sealer ring is....
The housing minus the gasket.
Intake runner witness marks from the intake gaskets. 1 and 3 don't even have the sealer ring resting on the face, it actually was in the roof of the runner...
Close up of 1 and 3.
Now I should have been more diligent upon installing (I get that, I could have saved myself the headache but I wanted to enjoy the car before I went back to school and because of that I missed a lot...) but like, this is pretty bad no? I always though people said GM castings were bad but the gasket lined up perfect to the ports on the head. I sent my cousin a photo of the runners and he asked me if and I quote "Helen Keller cast that intake." A bit harsh but... I don't know how well after market intakes are supposed to line up. I would imagine this is pretty bad as far as that goes and I really can't do much to make it right no? If I am wrong, please let me know. I would love to be able to use a different gasket and have it work for the runners. The thermostat is blatantly off though.

The 55 thunderbird gave me less problems than this thing did. And that didn't run when I started lol. The 67 firebird has fought me but I beat that into submission too.
