For your cooler lines, did you use regular 90 degree AN fittings?

I have 90 degree fittings, but the rear line is pretty tight to the tunnel. The trans actually needs to drop a tiny bit in my car which should give me a bit more space. I was researching fittings and there are "Banjo" style that would give tons of clearance, but they are $45 just for the fittings.

Curious what others have done. There is plenty of room near the front, just the rear cooler line will be close.

Yes I used 90° fittings for hose ends to attach to trans. The rear was real close to tunnel. Exhaust needed some torch and hammer work but it all fit snuggly...

I've been looking at mine and was pretty sure it was going to need some persuading to fit lol

Got my cooler lines all built and ready to go. Taking the DS for shortening tomorrow, will run the TCU wiring while waiting for it to get finished.
Here's a picture of some sexy guy I know

It's in the car, hanging all by itself. Only drilled up the one hole and ran the bolt through finger tight, to check for clearance to the Yoke. I got about 3/8" clearance, so I think I'm home free!

TCU is installed, with the exception of the 2 switches for Full manual and performance/normal mode (shift aggression)

The cardboard is there to hold the C-beam away from the tunnel. Hard to keep this all lined up and keep **** straight.

Right now it appears that one of my biggest difficulties is going to get the dipstick in. LOL

I hate doing **** like this because I'm already thinking of how I would've done it differently if I had to do it again.

I fought the dipstick for about an hour and a half, finally got that situated. Started mocking up the linkage and had to shorten the shift shaft on the transmission, as it was in direct path of the exhaust. Just got that finished up right now!

Putting the pan back on the trans next, then putting the exhaust back on. It's rainy here so maiden voyage won't be too wild because of wet roads.

You can hear my sweet exhaust leak under the car! I didn't get around to replacing the band clamps with V-bands.

I scared the living **** out of myself when first starting it up. I filled the pan, cranked it, and while cranking was getting a dull thud/clunk. Very disheartening, but then read online that its probably because the trans is dry.

I proceeded to start the car and fill the entire trans and the sound went away. Scared the **** out of me.

Maiden Voyage of the car was a success! Totally different animal. Love the 1/2 Gear shift, I haven't wired the toggles for performance/normal yet.

Have a little work to do with the linkage also. P/R/N are okay, but when i move to OD, the car can't decide if its in D or OD.

Also not sure if my cooler is big enough. It's a pretty cool day today, and temp got up to 190 pretty quick. Cooler is 180 on 165 off. It basically held temps at 190, but I was hitting it pretty hard.

I will say, totally different car with the 3200 stall. The 40 mph throttle stomps produce instant tire smoke on street tire until you let off. Neighbors absolutely do not approve

Thanks. We're growing up together LOL. I've had it for exactly 9 years today. Bought it just before my 17th birthday.

It's been a long road, few more things I want to sort out before painting it and doing weatherstripping. Trying to get all the mechanical stuff sorted out before doing cosmetic stuff.

I'm figuring out the tuning on this thing a little at a time. Initially I had set shift firmness too high which is a direct driver of line pressure. I had too much line pressure in first gear and it was wanting to snub the car out.

Still need to wire the switch for performance mode, and figure out the speedo.

Speedo has me baffled.

There is conflicting information on the internet, imagine that.

The EZ TCU outputs a square wave, with the ability to select how many PPM you want it to output.

From my understanding, the digidash took the signal from the VSS, which was 4000 PPM sine wave, converted it to square wave at 2000 ppm, then sent it to the ECM
So somehow I need to convert my square wave to sine wave so I can send it to the dash.

...I think

For anyone who may have been following this:

I was able to get my speedo functional by using a Dakota Digital SGI-5E. (Right Part #??)

Anywho, I used the one wire speedo output from my transmission controller, fed it into the SGI5-E then hooked it up to the cluster wiring that resides in the passenger side footwell. There are two wires for the digidash speedo, purple and yellow. I spliced into the purple wire, and set the SGI-5E to a 2x multiplication to convert the signal to from the EZ TCU to sine wave, digidash speedo functional!

GPS Accurate up to 130 (verified)

If anyone wants more info/pics I can provide. Car is down right now for a steering rack rebuild anyways.
