Default 89L98TPI - Daily Driver Street Car Gets Down On The Track

I do these threads every so often to share with CF the engine work I have done for CF members. A lot of the members I do work for don't want to be seen as bragging about their stuff but I don't have issue with it.... LOL.

I haven’t done one of these in a while, so here you go……

I’ve got a number of engines running around on this forum but this is one car I normally don’t talk specifically about how fast it is - Other than to say it’s a pretty FAST car. This car has been a money maker and it’s locally famous in certain circles the internet, I know some of you follow it's exploits on Face Book and You Tube…..

He has worked super hard on this C4 for a long time. I am really happy to see him get it out on the track and it achieve the goals he set for the car with ease. He did most all of the work on this car himself, so I know it feels good to see your hard work do what it's supposed to.

Here are a few slips and a video from test and tune at the track this past weekend. Obviously looking at the 60ft, these are both pretty soft hits, so we aren’t giving everything away here, should the new owner of this engine one day want to continue with it's past work....

Video – You know your stuff is running strong when a real race car gives up at the 1/8 mile….

Keep in mind this car is real a daily driver. He drove the car 1.5 hours to the track (one way), raced all night and then drove it back home… then got up the next morning and drove it to work.

Here are a few links with the technical info on his build:

Hope you like the info, slips and video.

Thanks Will for the thread and of course all your help from day one. Maybe we'd get a better response if we asked what wax they use.... Here's some pictures for the masses.

Drive home from track after 11.4 @ 120 NA and 10.4 @ 131 125 shot.

Waxing reduces aerodynamic drag, car would have easily went 11.0 N/A. Lol!!

Updated timeslip from last night. Not bad for footbrake/2step at 2500

That is a killer pass!

Little video of the C4 vs an awesome GTR (lots of mods) for the CF members.

That is one Fast C4! Are you using the factory ECM? If so who did the tune?
