Huh, I might give it another shot before taking it in. Both nuts are perfect on the hole/cotter pin hole so your recommendation is only 3/4 of and inch on each bolt; I have plenty of room and will double bolt for good measure.

So with my driver side lower than the passenger, I need to spin the nut up on the driver side and spin the nut lower the nut on the passenger-- pretty much mirroring your set up?

Thanks!

Here's what I had to deal with.

driver

passenger

Don't know how long this has been going on. 88 has not been a regular on the roads as I am doing a frame on resto but taking several years to complete it. I am doing body work now and will prime after.

If you want to raise or lower the car 3/4", you will need to crank or loosen the nut less than that because the adjusting bolt is inboard of the wheel/tire. Maybe a 1/2" or less is all you'll need.

Well, I just took a stab at it and really did not make much of a difference. I raised the drivers side nut all the way and lowered the passenger side as far as I could safely. After taking it around the block it only improved the gap 2mm.

I did the math and I'll need a much longer bolt than I have!

I have an appointment for Thursday. I think that this is way too much geometry for me,

**UPDATE**

I had Jim at Mid Cities in Hurst look at it. He said that he was able to get the front to 1/8 and the rear to 3/8 difference. He messed with the bolt/nut height, flipped the spring and adjust the cam. I pick it up this afternoon so I'll be doing some measuring when I get her home!
