1984 corvette will not go any faster flooring gas pedal
if i ease onto the gas it will move with no problems up to any speed.
But if i push the pedal to the floor it will hesitate and not move any faster at all also have a code 42

Yes, you need to check the TPS. Should be .525 volts.
Also, have you checked your timing, distributor and if the system is advancing? If your distributor is not advancing you could have a great idle and no to slow power advancing.

If you have a GM Service Manual look at pages 6E-44/45. It is a rather good troubleshooting section for this issue. If the code 42 is legit, you have an open/short in EST circuit or ignition module or ECM that is bad.
If you don't have a service manual, get one. It's worth its weight in gold to fixing your 84. They have them on flea bay. Good luck.
This is not to say that the mentioned things above are not valid points and should be checked.

just done my spark plugs forgot to add there is sometimes a backfire in carbs

A good reason that you may not be accelerating is more than likely due to the code 42. This error deals with timing and the EST circuit.
If you have a GM Service Manual look at pages 6E-44/45. It is a rather good troubleshooting section for this issue. If the code 42 is legit, you have an open/short in EST circuit or ignition module or ECM that is bad.
If you don't have a service manual, get one. It's worth its weight in gold to fixing your 84. They have them on flea bay. Good luck.

replaced the ignition module and the ecm everything the tree says still nothing

i have not
bringing it to a mechanic in my area known for only corvettes tomorrow if i cant figure it out before then unfortunately i have a feeling i will be paying a sh*t ton sadly especially when it is only a crossfire

OK, so are you saying you are just "shotgunning" parts vs. a logical troubleshooting approach? Did you check to make sure that the circuits are not open or shorted? If they are, changing those parts will do nothing to fix the issue.
