Hey thanks for the advice and for showing me how it's done.

Enjoy your car.

Something else you should have learned at the age of 10 is you get further with honey than with vinegar...And bickering back and forth won't be tolerated here. Anyone else find that the gauge isn't linear? Mine holds for a long time at the "FULL" mark and is very accurate when it is down to "RESERVE". Once there are no bars left, the car doesn't go too far.

And for your information a car CAN run rich with almost no smoke from the exhaust at all. Had an audi this earlier week #9 injector stuck open, it did have idling problems bit only a tiny bit of white smoke from the exhaust. That was with one injector permanently open.
We had a couple of instructors in college that were jerks but knew the material. Nobody in the class liked them. Problem was that they were teaching a prereq and the only ones doing it. What to do? Either suck it up or just don't do the class and the ones following it. Yes, attendance WAS not an option.

True but if all the injectors were stuck open, it would have tons of smoke. On my 383 with 36pph injectors when the ECM was stock, it ran pig rich and there was black smoke. So yes, to a point you can run rich and not have black smoke but at the mileage you reported, you WILL be able to keep your back yard free of mosquitoes in the summer.

I agree completely H.P.

That's why I'm so peeved, as a new comer I expected honey but tom gave me vinegar right from the very first post.

and aklim, i'm not really following what you mean. i'snt linear? you mean it stays at full then drops suddenly with no in between?
