Default 700r4 shifts too early

Hello guys, I have a 700r4 that was in my 86 camaro. I am not sure if it was the original unit all I know is that the previous owner bought it rebuilt or had the original rebuilt. It worked fine although it shifted a little early like 3500 rpm. Then one day it started shifting insanely early. Like at 5 to 10 mph 20 mph and 35 mph. I replaced the tv cable and made sure it was installed properly with a fabricated heavy duty bracket. Long story short even with new tv cable and proper adjustment I could not fix the issue. My question is what else could be causing my problem. Where should I look. Id like to put this into my corvette but I must fix the issue first. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advanced

If you are sure the tv cable is adjusted properly and correctly positioned, check the governor. Pop the cap on the rear driver's side. Possibly teeth are sheared or a spring or weight has flown off or maybe it is clogged.

That is what my thought is. My plan at this moment is to check the governor while it is out of the car. If that is not it I think my only choice is to open it up look around for something I feel is abnormal and then reinstall with a pressure gauge to see what that will tell me.

You must first cut the shaft off by a bit. It is too long. After which, swap tailhousing.
