Default Anyone have Ign Table for Miniram 383 AFR 210?

Anyone have a Spark table I can look at? Engine spins to 7K, cam is mild and really doesn't kick in till later. I'm guessing peak torque wont happen till at least 3000rpm.

Just looking for something similar to my setup to get a starting point. Right now I've tried a lot and can't seem to really tell too much difference. Trying to get a street tune as close as possible before taking to the $600 dyno session.

383 Stroker, cam pic below, MSX3 ECU, 210 comp port AFR heads, 1.6 rr, static comp 11:1 with torco additive for 95 oct gas (just to be safe), Miniram 2 with mild porting. Not matched but close.

These two tunes are for a 406 6-speed car with AFR 220 heads, that one has the lower timing at high load since you can lug the engine at low RPM. The other tune is for a 434 with a 4000 Stall, solid roller engine.

That seems like a pretty big cam for a 383.

Looks like a huge cam. Race only I guess. Looks like something for a big block.

It is big but not as big as it appears. The seat to seat duration is 280/286 which is not that bad. It will drive pretty good but still make great power. It lifts the valves fast and holds them open and closes them fast so the seat to seat is close to what is shown on many hyd roller cams but this cam will make more power since it has more area under the curve.

I would like to see how well this cam works.

That cam is plenty driveable I had it in my 350 for 60 miles, Tony ground it for me yrs ago when he did my Darts. Its about perfect for a dual purpose 383

sorry for the late response. Work and stuff got in the way. That timing comes in super early. 32* by 2000 rpm!? That's not even the powerband.

Yes, the engine is meant to be track duty 95% very rarely drive on the road. Need to be able to hit 7000 (not make power, but get to it holding through a turn if needed or something.) Want to be making the power in the 3000-6000 mostly but have some options.

I'm just not feeling any difference when I try 36* all the way to 30* timing at 3000 rpm. Im seeing engine temperature fluctuate is about it. I might try the second map since it looks safer and just level out the timing without pushing it at lower throttle yet. Take it easy and see how it reacts and try reading the plugs.

..... For reading plugs , I use a Dr. Mom's Otoscope ... available @ Walmart for about $20.00 ... its intended for looking into kids ears but has bright light and magnification for hunting out those little silver and black specks on the porcelain of your spark plugs .....

Good point. Im used to working with hyd rollers and have not done my own solid yet.

I too would like to see the power numbers from this build.
