I am not sure if this qualifies as big HP but here is my 406 (making around 525-550 flywheel HP) intake set-up on my Firebird.

Modified HSR, this was on my corvette before I went with a LS7 in the vette.

..... BTW ... anything over 400hp naturally aspirated is big enough to be proud of ! ... I'm just curious about what's providing the intake air to the engines of some of our C4's ... anything creative that displays some thinking outside the box qualifies ... that means no stock TPI intakes ... polishing or powder coating is not creative from an air flow standpoint .....

..... Nice ! ... I always liked the "sophisticated" look of the LT5 engine ..... How much air does a twin 2 1/2" throttle Body flow ? .....

Not aware if one has ever been flow tested.
However, I do know of several LT5s with increased displacement (415, 427, 441 CID) that are making North of 635 hp using the stock TB bored to 63.5mm. Cross section area of a twin 63.5mm TB is more or less equivalent to a single 90mm TB which flow around 1200-1250 CFM according to sources on the internet.

Modified Holley Stealth Ram and a small Turbo. Everything clears the stock hood. 372 CUI ( 4.125 bore, 3.48 stroke )

600 whp with 6-7 psi boost. More with 20+ psi.

.....Its an Offenhauser Cross Ram ... the top was available in a few different configurations ... single 4bbl , Tri-Power , and Dual Quad ... Edelbrock had a couple versions including the Smokey Ram ... and Chevrolet made one for the early Trans-Am racers ... THIS is the only Offy that I know of that is available in EFI ! ... I also had one of the Smokey Rams converted for EFI .....

That's awesome I've never seen one converted to EFI (Hell most of the time I see them in garages waiting on a build that'll never happen).

Hey Willie!

Yeah I think I remember Jim telling me about that.

And yeah, Jim is great. Great communication, we spent a LOT of time just talking my motor through. He's definitely an asset to our community!
