This is some experementing I did back in 2002. By mounting the front TB backwards I could center the TB bores on the larger Offy intake and still keep the stock Cross-Fire air cleaner and hide everything.

In 2003 I used port injection hidden inside the plenum and used the TBI units for air only.

I had it running like that but broke the th700r4 again when I added a Vortech supercharger. After this I got the 4L80E and Holley Stealth Ram instead.

..... Now THAT is some serious "thinking outside the box" creativity ... Bravo ! ..... I'd like to see how you plumbed a supercharger onto that set-up .....

This is an older picture with the Cross-Fire intake and air-box used with the supercharger. It looked the same with the Offy.

This might be getting a bit off topic.

Well, I got the idea and had to try it. Main consern was if an injector or clip would come loose. The clip could make some damage down at the valve or cylinder before flooding or hydrolocking the cylinder. Having the injectors inside the plenum is not a problem, but they probably should be secured in both ends. Welding injector seats to the lid and spray into the runner openings would probably work and it would still be more or less hidden under the big air cleaner. My plumbing probably affects air flow to restriction, at least for cyl 7 and 8.

Even some F1 engines have injectors spraying into the opening of the runners. This 700hp Ferrari is from 1995 so I can't say that they stole my idea.
