Welcome to the forum!
There are bunches of things you can do to increase performance being limited only by your budget.
How fast will your wallet afford?

just like everyone above has said, it is the same answer as it has been since the 60's,
Cubic Bucks
so to start the answer, you need to tell everyone how much money are you willing and able to spend ?
additionally, what condition is the platform in ?
in my opinion, I have seen far to many people start by building more HP into their engine, but the basic platform, ie: the car, was not up to snuff due to miles and or simply age. then the added HP ends up tearing up the car.
so, how is your suspension ? ie: miles, we know how old it is, how are the bushings in the suspension, the shocks, all the infrastructure that keeps it going in a straight line when you mash the go pedal

That's how you do it. Don't start with "How do I get more out of it" as a question. Start with "How much money am I able to spend?". That dictates how far you go. We can tell you all kinds of things but you need to decide what you want to spend and for how long is the car going to be owned by you. After that, we get to your goals.

Just remember, an engine is essentially an air pump. The more air you can get into and back out of it, will dictate how much power you net. Its all very simple actually... you need knowledge or someone to do the work who has that needed knowledge, then you need the coin as the others have said. Speed costs, how fast do you want to go?

higher stall TC / light FW
Headers / Exhaust plus a ECM tune will net a VERY noticeable gain!
