$4500. Twin Turbos and AWD.
I live in the wrong area. As a rough estimate based on condition and mileage a 3000 GT VR4 goes for about twice what a decent C4 goes for.

OK, the FWD models are more affordable here.

Yeah, I have a made a rule for myself that "It's worth traveling for a purchase"....like a car or boat. I bought our Mastercraft PS190 in Indiana. Drove from UT to Indiana, bought it and towed it back to UT. Was it worth the drive? The trip took three days. I've owned the boat for 18 years now.

I bought our CTS-V in Seattle WA. Flew in w/a round trip ticket (just in case it wasn't "it"), bought it and drove it home. Was it worth it? Trip took two days. We've had the car for 9 years and 130k miles so far.

It's worth traveling to get the car you want, IMO.

@Tom400: Way back when these cars (Stealth and 3000) were new a very good friend and long time associate had a Mitsu dealership. He brought a 3000GT home and I drove it several times. It was a lot of car for the times. So I was enamored with, and tended to notice the 3000 and its Dodge cousin.

I recall coming up behind a red "one" and still remember its license plate: RED F117. I doubt many peeps other than car or airplane guys "got it". But 25+ years later, I still do.

BMW E30 325ix, if you can find one in good mechanical condition; they're getting on in age.

Well I kind of accidentally ended up buying an AWD this weekend.

Was looking for something more comfortable for DD than my CR-V. Came across a good used Acura MDX for 5K. Since AWD is standard on them I ended up with it.

well spring is coming and i think im going to make it without buying another car.

truth is that i dont have time for another project anyway.

its been fun to explore with yall. i like the idea of tbe stealth but id rather get the viper even though its not awd. but then id rather have a f348 or a restomodded 70-71-72 camero/firebird. im all over the place.

its time for me to update my truck so ill have to get my rocks off with that.
