Is there any specific way I can fill up the radiator/engine to avoid getting air pockets in the block? Can I take of the T-stat housing and fill it up from there?
Re: Suggestions for avoiding air pockets in coolant (dtorc4)
You could try that but the best way is just to burp it several times with the heater On after the t-stat has opened, i.e. raise idle to around 2,000=2,500rpm, carefully remove the radiator cap, fill as necessary with more coolant, replace the cap and cycle rpms a few times.
Repeat the burping till no drop in coolant is seen upon removing the radiator cap at high idle rpms.
