That's what Aklim does. He's the contrarian...the Devil's Advocate of the forum. He's always exploring the counterpoint -even when he may not agree with that point himself. He posts to hear himself post. See the post above for an example of that.

It's just part of our forum's culture. Don't sweat it.

I know. It's much easier to pick a side and not explore anything else even if there are some things that have developed in the meantime. Kinda like religion. I much prefer to find out stuff on both ends BEFORE and NOT AFTER the trigger pull is forced on me. Kinda like my wife wanting to find a landscaper and me finding several options for the same job BEFORE we need to.

I'm going to do it again. I normally agree with the AMA recommendations but is this one of those things if we explore if "Physician, heal thyself" is appropriate?

Accept you are not doing that. Instead, you are just polluting the forum with meaningless irrelevant conversation, totally devoid of useful information.

Mike, it looks like there's a lot of room, in your engine bay. By the way the engine looks, good sitting in there.

No you don't.

I'm mostly into German cars, owned 2 911's, coupla hot rod Audis, VDubs, etc. so Vettes (while great cars) just aren't in my wheel house. However, I really like the body design of the C4. To me it is much better looking than a C5, 6, or 7. So, when I got the deal I got, I decided to build a solid HPDE machine. Cheaper than maintaining a Cayman S.

I post quite a bit on Miata.net (one of the first car forums...goes way back to a CompuServe Bulletin Board in 1994) we have the same "culture". I'm ok with defending myself.

Just don't let yourself get sucked into an endless, nonsensical, conversation about nothing, that goes nowhere, and does no one any good, especially you.

Here is an article on a near stock iron block 5.3L engine (has stock heads), just has average streetable camshaft and fast intake. The little 5.3L made between 450-475HP

Don't they do a bunch of LS swaps? Thought I seen them in this shop. Guy did 4 or 5 already last year. Said he got it down to a science and gave me quotes for an LS motor insertion, price depended on dyno tuning and which one I put in

And if you can't, my stalkers will help

Oh yea, a company called Flying Miata does some killer swaps. Plenty of kits out there as well for DIYers.

With how cheap old RX8's are I have to keep reminding myself that swapping an RX8 is a bad idea.

Same junkyard 5.3L dog, but with some boost

http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/eng...t-under-boost/

So easy to take a $500 5.3L junkyard buy and make some power. Ya like 700HP
