How to remove the vacuum connector from the programmer. There is a push nut in the center of the connector. What's the best way to remove the nut so the connector isn't damaged?

If there's a hex on it then back it out with an 8mm or whatever size it is. If its one of those round ones with a hole that has perforated edges and its just pushed on then use needle nose to pinch it in the center of its outside diameter with the intention of making it crease in the center, then break off one half and remove the other. Get a new one at Home depot or leave it off when you reassemble it.
