Default 1992 c4 Muffler and resinator Delete loss of Power

Hello,

So I have a 1993 c4 Convertible and I recently cut out the stock mufflers and resonator and like the sound but seems like a significant loss of power? Any sugestions of keep a good rumble but not losing power? I have a Kn air replacement filter so far and innovative chip installed

Thanks so much

Looking for help

Jay! I have never heard of losing power because you change mufflers. I have a 1990 ZR-1 and stock mufflers have 2 dual outlets on each side but one side is blocked off thus more back pressure. Changed them to Corsa which have a straight through design with both sides open thus I have less back pressure, more power and better sound.

What size pipe did the shop use when they cut out the mufflers and resonator?
