DeWitts has the best reputation among Corvette guys.

However, the C4 radiator is probably the second most common radiator size/design, and the aftermarket is loaded with radiators for the C4. It's more mass market than just the C4. That's also the radiator of choice for anyone swapping any V8 into any GM S-series truck or SUV (S10, Sonoma, Blazer, Jimmy, etc).

There are dozens of choices for that radiator from dozens of sources.

It varies depending on who has the sale running, and whether you have any discount codes or online "coupons."

DeWitts has their own website, but I don't know if they have the best prices, or if they hold the line at "suggested retail" to support their resellers.

All the major speed shops online have them. SummitRacing, Jegs, Speedway motors, I think even JC Whitney sells them. They are found on Amazon and fleaBay as well, from various sellers.

When ever you are dealing with higher than normal temperatures be sure that you are using the proper ratio of Anti-freeze to distilled water.

Too much Anti-Freeze can make your engine run hotter. Water is far superior at transferring heat than your AF. Use the least amount of AF that you can get away with in your region of the United States.

I would suggest a bottle or two of the REDLINE brand "Water Wetter" as it helps lower the coolant temperature. It helps because it eliminates the bubbles that are between the engine metal and the coolant. It will drop your temperature and make the cooling system more efficient.

I am running a BE-COOL aluminum radiator in my BB C3 and have had it in my car for over twenty years with not one issue. I occasionally clean the actual aluminum fins using "Coil Cleaner" designed for cleaning home Air Conditioning coils, it only takes a couple minutes to clean off the corrosion that interferes with the heat transfer.

Dewitt's Radiators are of high quality and specifically made for our Corvettes. DeWitt's is preferred on this site because they are a GREAT supporter of the Corvette Forum! My next radiator will be a DeWitts radiator to show them our appreciation.

What is the correct part # for 92 Vette 6 speed? Dewitt's site calls for 1139090M, Summit calls for 1139090E and 1139063M. I know the "M" is for the 6 speed, but what is the "E"? What's the difference between the 1139090M and 1139063M? All are the same price at Summit which is the cheapest way to go.

I found the differences between the part #s. 1139090M has a width of 29" and the 1139063M is 21.5". The" E" is for the oil cooler equipt engines.

Not sure why the first thought of so many is aftermarket, when the stock system works just fine, even after serious mods. Got that tee shirt, so read,heed and save; suggested!

If the stock radiator cracks a tank...think about a fabricated aluminum one. If not...basic cooling system maintenance will result is a cooling system that is better than good enough.

I took the radiator completely off my '85 and flushed it with vinegar, got a ton of crud out. Also straightened some bent fins and cleaned out the area in between the radiator and the condensor. Doing all of that, along with a coolant system flush, got my car running quite cool. It will hit 220 in traffic in the summer, but as soon as the fans kick on it drops right back down.

Speaking of fans, have you checked that yours is coming on correctly? If not you'll see those temps pretty quick if you're sitting still in traffic.
