Default Shorty Spark Plugs for Vortecs?

1) Am I stuck with the Accel plugs?

Half the people I see who have them complain about the quality. I know they're out of this world expensive.

2) I find all kinds of crossover charts, but nothing with insulator length.

Any idea where I could get something like that? Maybe another brand would work as well or better than the accel, if I just knew how long the porcelain section was?

What Accel plug is it that you feel 'stuck' with? What cylinder head? 906 or 062

Good to see you hangin' around again!

Take the plug you want to match to a 'quality auto parts store' and have them pull 3 - 4 brands all of similar heat range and 'pick' your insulator? Measure first hand!!!!

Thanks, WVZR.. Very kind of you, sir!

It's the GM Parts #12558060. I think mine is the 906.

Whoops.. Sorry.

It's an AC 41-902.

And yeah, I guess I could. Probably end up doing just that..

It would really be nice though if I could find a reference across brands to compare, like.. AC, Autolite, NGK, etc..

But nobody lists the insulator length.

Yeah, they get pretty tight in a few places. A little bit shorter plug would be great.

lol.. Yeah, I saw the Accel brand... But about half the people I see comment on them are unhappy with the quality and the price.

I see vague references to other brands that are shorter, but no part #'s or a way to cross them by insulator length.

You can seemingly get any other spec you want, though.
