Default Early C4 to C5 brake bracket...where now?

Howdy, thought I was all set to finish my C5 front brake upgrade on my '87. But, the adapter I bought wouldn't work out, it had M12 bolts for the spindle instead of M14. These were from FlyNBye, the brackets were actually for '84s and they don't currently have an '85-'87 option.

I recall finding two or three other companies and even eBay offering an early C4-C5 bracket, but not finding anything now, other than offered with a full kit. Well, some eBay stuff that was obviously crap, me no want.

Anyone know a source for front brackets that do include M14 spindle bolts?

"1976Ls1' on eBay should be able to help you. I understand his brackets/hardware are first class. I've never bought but a friend has. He was happy.

Can you drill out the holes to 14mm? Get some hardened bolts from Fastenal.

No, I don't trust that and the warranty goes south. I guess it's only +1mm radius, but I'd rather at least have a good test first.

have you tried tpsmotorsports.com ?
I know they have the adaptors, but you would have to ask them if they sell them outside the kits.

Exactly what I would do. I made my own brackets years ago. Or you could take it to a machine shop, for a minimal cost they will correct it.
