i just bought 92 corvette that was popping backfiring thru the intake and had to pump the pedal to keep it running, all wires are plugged in and correct to opti. Took down to timing chain which seem to be correct as well on comp tdc cam and crank 12 o clock, opti looks to be new timing as well. also when had running smoke came from exhaust, also will not crank with key had to hook up remote and digital gauges dont work but the analog does, all fuses r good, i cant get any codes. I pulled off one random wire it had spark any recommendations. Will appreciate any help thanks jeff

Fuel pressure test?

ECU bad? (gauges).

didnt put gauge but the valve on rail i pressed it and shoots out good pressure

Did it ever run smooth?Flat bed it to a corvette garage only these cars are a night mare! Ask garage cost / Get a not to exceed price. Codes are not reliable on these cars but not starting and back firing sounds like an Opti!

guy i bought it from says it hasnt ran in couple of years replaced opti coil still no change will try icm if not then take it in
