So just checked everything.

1st pic shows how factory was wired, on the bulkhead.
2nd pic shows how I have it.
3rd pic shows how I have it wired at the pump. Black wires on the negative side of fuel pump, so should be ok there.

Looks like I'll go back to stock.

Spend the money on a nice, stainless, assembly.. You'll feel good every time you look at it.

Are you running a 255 with a boost a pump or just a 255. If just a 255 then just buy a stock replacement. I had to upgrade due to much larger pump and down the road a boost a pump.

You have a purple pump, its an RX-brand pump, that is why it reverses polarity.

So with the pump from racetronix, you have to cut a hole,in the "purge port". Does the same have to be done on a new OE pump?

Also, in this pic, the upper fuel line has two clamps. Is it bad, or unsafe, that I can only get one clamp on? I am able to get the line further down than I thought, but the 2nd clamp just barely doesn't fit.

My Delphi, stock replacement, pump was a bolt in. No cutting.

There's one clamp on mine, (I think?) and it's fine. It's a zomg, "FI RATED!!!" clamp, whatever that means?

It had a regular hose clamp on it before and didn't leak?

The pressure hose has 2 clamps so that it evens out the pressure on the hose.
I was able to fit 2 clamps but I dont have a pic. Do one then the other ,even pressure.
Actiually the right hand one is backwards and the left needs rotating up a bit.

Got back from driving it
So I am using a stock pump. I could have just cut on that thing the pump sits on, for the racetronix. That is what was preventing the car from getting fuel. But to be honest, I was/am scared of running that pump on factory wiring. I'll keep it, if I ever up the power. You can actually hear the new stock pump prime at key on. My old one, you couldn't.

And that is how I have the hoses. Hopefully they don't leak. None so far.

Well done. A stock pump that works is better than a Hi Perf pump that is completely cludged.

Enjoy your Vette this holiday weekend!
