My Bose Gold just ate a 1980's rock CD
How do I get a CD out of a Bose gold on a 91?
I had a buddy over today and we did some maintenance on his ZR1. So when we finished and beer was involved, we of course we began to mess with things we really shouldn't have.
My 91 with Bose has never been CD friendly and would always make a rapid clicking noise when you started to insert the CD. Today we pushed in a CD all the way in "to see what would happen."
The clicking stopped, the radio works but the CD would not play. We tried but really can't get the CD to eject. I'm happy that the radio works, but is there any way to get the CD out?

Burning Brakes
had the same problem on my dad's 93 Bose Gold. Disconnect the battery for a few mins. Reconnect and then just hit the eject button for the CD. It worked, though maybe I was just fortunate. There are a couple of reputable factory car stereo reman companies out there that will recondition and add a 1/4 mini rca jack, if you are not looking to replace/upgrade your system. One is in Florida and the other in Texas.
Good luck!

Genius!
I disconnected for about 20 minutes, reconnected and the CD popped right out.
Now, I'll just leave well enough alone.
