Default 165 swap and injectors... I may be having problems...

Are the injector wires supposed to show continuity between each other (same injector) with the ignition on and/or off? I am getting this and I don't know (though it probably isn't) if it's supposed to be like this. I did the 165 swap according to the info on here and on 3rdgen.org.

C15 splices into D14 and they plug into the new D16
D16 splices into D15 and stays in the D15 socket.

Why would I have continuity? This is the case on both banks of injectors w/ the ignition on and off.

The inj. are fed 12volt con't on one side-so they will have continuity. The ecm "pulses" the ground wire to actually open the inj. The 165 is batch fire so all the ground side wires should have continuity to each other also.
What's it doing/not doing?

It's not doing anything :mad . I've got the dist. on correctly, but it won't start.

I think it might be my ECM. The SES light stays on even when ALDL pins A&B are connected. No code 12 or anything. Any thoughts?

Hmmm, you should be able to get the 12 code....Got spark? If so then give it a shot of quick start to rule in/out fuel.....fuel press? Although the lack of a 12 with aldl a and b jumped looks like the ecm...or wires to it. If it was the prom it should go to lmp home mode and still start.....
It does turn over? Just thinkin' of vats there.

It does turn over, and according to my fuel pressure guage, I am getting 40-45 PSI when I turn the key on. However, when I turn the key off, the fuel pressure drops back down.

I just bought some starter fluid, and I will spray it tomorrow when I have somebody to crank the car for me. I will also put the other custom chip for the 165 in, and if that still doesn't work, I will triple check my wiring and/or put the 870 back in. Thanks for the help!

Do you have an adjustable regulator? I've had them drop press. with key off like that when the washer gets "hung up" in it-just rap the housing while the pumps running and that should do it.

hmmm.... that is something my drunk (now) azz has not thought of. I will double check the ECM tomorrow (damn ebay crap) and make sure it is out of an '89. Thanks for the tip Racer!!

FYI, I hooked up the factory computer (reversed all the wires, of course) and the car fired right up.... although fairly roughly. :D

I think the car would still start with a different memcal. I have two memcals, one from a 87 v6 f-body and the other from a 89 v8 f-body and the car starts with both. The limp home chips have the same numbers on both memcals and these are the only chips your are using with plugged into the adapter.
