4+3 is there a reason to rebuild valve body
1984 4+3.
i have my overdrive on my bench to fix a noisy carrier bearing. The clutch disc are getting replaced as well as getting the revised direct clutch thrust washer. The overdrive worked fine. My question is, is there a point to rebuilding the valve body? I was thinking that it was working fine and I don’t want to take the chance breaking something or assembling it wrong if I don’t need to ,“if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. However, as I don’t know the previous owners maintenance habits, is there anything in there that either experiences significant wear or needs the improved version (like the thrust washer)
Thank you
