Default 94 Catalytic Converter question

I have the Cats off of a 91 or 92 and they only have one bung to mount the O2 sensor. On the right side it needs to have two, but I don't know what the location of the second one should be.
Does anyone know thw exact location and the orientation of the O2 sensor that is lower on the cat?
Thanks in advance!
Chris

I guess no one on the entire forum knows the answer, I really need this info so I can get the car back together!
One other question, the Helms manual says to use some type of sealant on the flanges of the exhaust (manifolds and the cat's flanges) since there are no flange gaskets. The question is, what type of sealant???

The stock cats on the '94 have one O2 just in front of the convertor (3-6 inches from the convertor) on the top of the tube. You do not need the back O2 so it is a waste of money to put a bung in for it. Mine right now is disconnected and the sensor is sitting on a shelf. It is for pre-ODBII checks and will not set a code or alter the vehicles running specifications whatsoever.

If you just have to have it, it is located right after the passenger side cat aiming the same direction as the front ones.

Thanks for the response, I am going to put it together without the rear O2 sensor as per your advice.

Anyone know what the sealant is the manual refers to? Do I really need it?

Chris

You can get some stuff at the Autozone called muffler mender. It is a gray goop that will harden and seal any openings. I used to have to use the stuff when I ran shorty style headers. You may try not using anything on them and they may seal, but you may end up removing and reinstalling with some goop if not.

As for the O2 sensors, make sure you do not get the two connections swapped up or the car will not run right. Just an FYI.
