Default 1990 Convertible ZR1 rims

Does anyone have opinions and possible photos of factory 90 ZR1 rims mounted on a convertible.
The car is stock and would like to add more rubber in the back but do not want to have any problems.
As always I appreciate any and all feedback.

The guy that bought my '90 ZR-1 rears put them on a '90 convertible. He sent me this article to pull in the rear. Otherwise, the rims will stick out significantly from the body:

I had ZR1 chrome rims on my '84. No spacers needed. I had 17"x9.5 front and back. Your vert. will look great!

Look in my photobucket pictures in the link below. It is the red vert with the white top. I did do the modification that Aurora40 posted. I am in the process of lowering it some. Hope that helps.

Yup, Mark's car is the one I was referring to. The rears line up great with the body.

Default Thank you all!

Thank you for the feedback.
I will be tearing the rear of my apart this winter to perform the mod's.
A special thanks to Aurora40 for sending me the information. I am so glad I found this site and it is full of so many helpful corvette guys.
Does anyone know a goos site to purchase 84-87 spindles from?
I talked to my local dealer and they were no help.
Thanks again,

On 1984 - 1987 the ZR1 rims fit.
On 1988 - 1996 they will stick out about one inch more.

Instead of actual ZR1 wheels that have the wrong offset for 88-96 C4s, why not buy 17x11 replicas with 50mm offset? Those will fit perfectly on any later C4. As JoBy noted, on an 84-87 C4 the ZR1 wheels will fit inside the fenders.

well... I’m trying to return her to her original glory, only better. And by better I mean wider!! (Pic of car 20 years ago when PO owned it and put the wrong wheels on the wrong side!)
