Resetting ECM brings car to life... After a month, time to reset again
When I reset the ECM by removing the battery the car runs very well thruought the RPM range. After about a month I notice it doesn't rev as quickly and a ping/knockwhen I turn the starter and it starts. After resetting the ECM it doesn't ping/knock when I turn the starter.
I am leaning towards a programming/learning problem, but it could be linked to a bad sensor (MAF, knock, TPS, or ??). How about dirty injectors? could that cause such symptoms?
No error codes stored and I replaced the O2 sensors which made a big difference. I probably need to hook a scanner to the car and check sensor values (if I had one).
Anyone with similar experience or suggestions ?

Yes, my car would run solid for 3 ignition start/stop cycles, then start running noticeably worse I guess as the computer learned. Not sure if we have similar problems, but one of the last couple of things I did was pull all of the fuses and reseat them. Even the two blocks under the hood and wrap the coil wire in 3/8" fuel line to keep it from arcing
