R&R rear window defroster contact points
Has anyone ever had to R&R their rear window defroster contact points? You know, the 4 clips that connect the defroster wires to the actual window? 2 of my clips are missing, and one is half-melted away. Also, some of the wires need to be re-soldered as they are breaking off. Can I buy new plastic clips for the wire contacts? Can I just have a shop re-solder the wires?

Yeah, I did that too. I had both rear wires off and the front ones were melted like yours. I couldn't find the black factory ones so I bought the female clips at Kragen and painted them with Krylon semi-flat paint. I was a little leary of soldering on the glass but it came out OK. My braided strips were loose farther down and I used JB Weld to stick them back on. JB has steel in it and is conductive.
