heads, at say from 550 - 600 lift? If so, how would you get there. Larger valves? Adding some aluminum and hogging out the ports?

I would like to know also, I have been told the valves can only go from 1.94 to 2.0 and 1.54 to 1.6. I just bought a set for $350. form an 89 C4.

i think that's the largest size you can go without removing the seats. you should be able to fit a 2.02/1.60 old-school combo by replacing the valve seat.

I thought it was that you can fit 2.0/1.56 without changing the seats. 2.02/1.60 is the larget valve that will fit. I think 250cfm is doable, but I am not expert. Suposedly the CNC heads get about 250 cfm out their ported D ports.

I had a set of CNC L98 D ports. I never had them flowed but the workmanship was awesome. The ports on those heads looked better than my comp ported AFR 195's. I know looks don't mean anything. I sold them to =Jeff= and he is very happy with them.

Re: Is it possible to get 250cfm from aluminum D-port (Raistlin)
you can get 230-235cfm with stock size valves, GOOD stock size valves, like manley pro-flos, the 2.00/1.55 combo can be cut in a stock seat and if they are ported to the max & back you can hit 250 intake cfm & 190-200cfm on the exhaust quite easily. most the time they still choke at .500-.550 lift so flow the head before you choose the cam. in my case i did some porting in my garage & used stock size valves, i hit 225cfm at .500 lift but had less at .550 lift. getting 190cfm on the exhaust isn't really hard to do by the way, a complete polishing and some bowl & guide work & your there.

Raistlin, the intakes are 2.00 and the exhaust valves are 1.56". The cam is a ZZ-9. Also, use a MR intake. Go to Beach Bums website and he has me profiled under his "proven combinations" section. Thanks...Todd.
Good luck with your project.
