Default 86 sport seats

Is there any difference in removing the cushions from sport seats then regular seats? I'm getting ready to recover my sport seats. I've seen youtube vid on regular seats.

jD, you are in for a surprise when doing the upper back-side bolster covers. Chevy stapled the side bolsters on the outer side. I used a drill and attached with small screws. I bought mine with new foam as my OEM 88 foam was shot.

Corvette America just redid my 87 sport seats. The labor is around $100 per section (4 total for two seats) plus any parts. I sent them my new foam and leather as I already bought it not realizing how much more work the sport seats are to do properly. They also installed new bladders, switches, and bezels at the same time. They look absolutely amazing but they're still in the box so I can't share an installed pic yet.

Here are all the part stickers.

I installed a set of AL KNOCK leather seat covers in my C3 many years ago, after two years the threads started ripping in one of the cushions. I called Al Knock company and they told me to mail them back to them. Three weeks later they came back with new seat covers, new foam, new hardware and new backs on a 1968 C3 set of seats. This service provided by a QUALITY company like Al Knock made it all worthwhile, I will never use anybody else as they have made me a "Customer for life". This company stands behind the products they make, the service that I received was incredible in this day. Twenty years later they still look new!

Good Luck

Gave me a good excuse to get the harbor freight 25 dollar air stapler. Worked great for the sport seats sides. And I will use it for a lot of things.
