176000 and strange noise
It started making a pinging sound today., sounds bad. It seems to be knocking or something when I take off. I double checked the timing is on. Just started this morning. Take a listen please. I will do another check this weekend.

Fixed it! Just wanted to share the fix, it was loose converter bolts(automatic) and now she is quiet as a mouse again.Last edited by xrav22; 08-29-2018 at 01:17 PM.

Great Job solving that little mystery with your Corvette!! Thanks for sharing that with us!
From now on I will put a little thread-lock on those pesky little bolts to avoid the same issue you "found, fixed and educated" us about. Any idea how it/they came loose? I have never heard of this one before.
Doing what you did really helps all of us "learn" more about these cars we love. I for one really appreciate your telling us the problem and its solution. You are the type of person who really makes this site such a "winner"! Thanks again!
