Default Spark Plug Wires for '96 LT4

This is in regard to a '96 CE with LT4 and ZF6...

What's a good replacement set of spark plug wires? I see lots of recommendationsa for Taylor, but what set number? I'd like to go with 84225's, the 8.2mm set, but like to know about fit. Don't want to have grind out my looms or anything like that. Anyone used them? Should I just go with the 7.mm's...74225's? What's your experience? Other brands? I'll listen...

Thanks!

I used AC Delco 748C from Rock Auto. I was very happy with the quality and fit. PLEASE NOTE: I have a 1996 LT1. Dan

Make sure it is 748C (make sure fits LT4) I would have to check Rock Auto there might be a cheaper AC Delco. Dan

I'll consider 'em...was just hoping to go with some red ones to match the plenum for a factory type look. Thanks!

I'm also looking for a new wire set. I'd like to have red wires for the stock look but the Ac Delco is close to $200 for the set. Are there any other brands that has red wires for the LT4?

Taylor makes some that are red. I'm just trying to figure out if the ones I mention above will fit in the factory looms. Good luck...

if you have headers , 8.2 mm won't fit. 7 mm is a tight fit . I purchased a closeout set of Standard ignition wire from RA FOR $12. Glad I did as 2 wires burned through on the headers(even with custom looms) purchased 2 generic 7mm wires, all is good..had they been oem red wires I would have been pissed.

No, I don't have headers...any idea if the 8.2's will fit without modification? Some of those RA closeouts are pretty tempting...Thanks!

Has anyone used the 84225's? Is everyone else using the 74225's?

I used the red Taylor 8mm on my 96 LT1 and used all the factory looms and holders .. Itwas a pain,,as they are a tight fit.. But was able to get them all in .. They look very good

I opted for MSD wires because they were red like the original oem wires; and no, they don't fit in the stock wire harness.

What did you do to remedy it? Aftermarket looms? if so...Do they fit in the stock holders and location? Thanks...
