I'm ripping out my Air Conditioning System. Everything going smooth. I got everything removed... then the LAST bolt! It's at the Bottom/Center of the AC Compressor and Center of the AC Compressor/Belt Tensioner Bracket. Bolts into a chunk of steel on the cylinder head. It looks like a Torx Head. Lots of grease and grime and it's difficult to get an eyeball on.
If so, Can anybody confirm and tell me what size Torx that is so I can get the tool to remove it. Doesn't look like there's even enough clearance to get a socket type thing on it with the clutch in the way. Don't tell me I have to remove the clutch too!!!
I'm installing an AC Bypass Pulley.

When I replaced my compressor I was dangerously close to stripping the torx socket in the bolt. So, what I did was put a box end wrench on the hex part of the bolt along with the torx bit and used both wrenches to break it free. Worked like a charm. Good luck.

removing the belt tensioner makes bolt access a bit easier. besides a torx bit socket, a 15mm, 1/4" drive socket is another method for removal of the "special" bolt. the 1/4" drive has a bit thinner socket wall, and will slide past the pully with ease.
