Having a problem with my C4. Wife and i went out to grab a bite. Car started right off like always. We were in the restaurant for about an hour.
Went out to start the car, and nothing. Everything lights lights up, but nothing. Not even a starter click. Called for a wrecker service and they
showed up after an hour. Just for kicks i had them put on jumper cables and it started right up. Output voltage was 14.2/14.5 and the car ran
well. The battery is 5 years old. Would any of you guys/gals have any idea as to what this problem would be?

I checked the battery voltage and it was at 14.3 using 2 different meters. I pulled the battery and checked the acid level and they were
all low. Filled them with distilled water to the proper level. The levels were never checked for 5 years. My bad. Its an AC Delco 75PS
652 CCA & 90RC. Reinstalled it and started the car several times. Dash volts are 14.3/14.4 and reading at the battery terminals i get
14.7. I probably would have checked the battery cell levels before, but just let it slide because it such a PIA. Won't happen again.
Thanks for responding.
After 5 years, I'd still get a new battery. 30-year old car with a phenomenally hot engine bay does not do great things to a battery.
You guys talked me into buying a new battery. The warranty on the old one was for 3 years. Same as the new one. I'll keep a closer eye on it than
before. Thanks alot.

Autozone Duralast Gold is 5 years if warranty is your concern. Also, they are everywhere. Unless you pissed me off, I would never ask you to get the Wal*Mart house brand
