Default Digital Guages on 1990 L98?

Bought my first Vette (1990 L98) a year ago and still big time in the learning curve! I see some people here talking about switching between analog and digital gauges on these cars. Does the 1990 have this capability and if so how do you bring up the digital readouts? I'm not sure I trust the analog in regards to oil and water temps. If it doesn't have digital capability for this how can I check these temps accurately?

I put these in my 84. It comes with a new engine temp. Sending unit that works for this gauge cluster. Was $3-400 refurbished. Includes instructions on wiring, but helps to look up wire diagram to cross reference wires.

Unfortunately they won't work for a 90 to 96 since they are not that straight edged. You can but it requires quite a bit of fabrication and you lose the DIC. IF those readings are critical to me, I'd have a separate set of pillar gauges to read them. What exactly are you trying to achieve that the regular cluster won't? How precise do you need it?

No, the digital readout while on 89-older, is also on the LCD of 92-96. Unfortunately not 90-91

You can see digital readouts for some functions via the HVAC display.
