Default Cabin Filter ?

Hello all. Had to pull my dash plastics this weekend to swap some burned out light bulbs. Later in the afternoon the sun was just at the right angle to shine in thru the dash vent's. I never noticed this before. Looks like a clogged filter to me. Is this the cabin filter, and if so, is there another way to get to it to change? Can it even be changed or just vacuum it out. I'm thinking if I went to vacuum it out, it would just disintegrate. This would probably explain the lousy air flow and how dusty the car is.

It's not a filter, it's a foam GM put on the blend doors to help seal them and reduce noise. Best to leave it alone unless chunks of it start blowing out the vents.
