LS PCM Upgrade and Tune with J2534 Pass Thru Device?
I will have to purchase a J2534 pass through, programming device soon.. Something like this one, as an example:
http://www.drewtech.com/products/cardaqplus3.html
(If it looks similar to the SnapOn programmer, that's because they make them for SnapOn.)
Question: For a couple of years I've been toying with the idea of a PCM upgrade. Like the 24X EFI Connection package..
Is there tuner software that works via a J2534 pass through programmer interface like the one above?
Because it's always more fun to buy tools you may be able to use on the Vette!

It is a interface not a programmer. If you have a laptop with tuner software. It should work. The interface is alteast in GMs case laptop canbe used on multiple systems and due high and low speed serial data. Afaik lt1 connector needs repinned for LS PCM.

Thanks.. Looks like I dodged it on this particular job, but I'm going to have to buy one and it would be nice if I could use it for something corvette related too if I ever wanted to.
I know the 85 PCM is a sticking point, and I've replaced about 4 of them at this point.
