Gas gauge stops at exactly 1/4
How could it be possible for a good working gauge to go down to 1/4(bars show 1/4) and stop reading It worked all the way down to reserve last month.
Any ideas
Thx in advance.

It almost has to be the fuel level sending unit inside the tank, float arm hanging up on something, like one of the wires that go to the fuel pump. This is located inside the fuel tank, remove body gas filler door then the 3 hoses by the filler neck, then the wire connector, and finally the 10 or so bolts holding the filler assembly to the tank, carefully wiggle the whole assembly out. If needed, Rockauto has new units for around $210 without fuel pump

….. FYI … your in-tank fuel pump's life depends on being submerged in a fuel bath to keep its internals nice and cool … plus , its a well documented fact that with less than 1/2 tank of fuel hard acceleration and evasive maneuvers can be met with an engine hesitation/sputter when the fuel sloshes away from the fuel pump pick-up … reserve ? …..

The pump is fine , it is new the sender just started sticking at 1/4 and I have to refill because it does not go down anymore.
I think the other post has it , a wire may be holding it up because the wires, or something else, here is my setup.
Thx

Ok just wanted to document the fix. It looked like my pump spun around counter clockwise and the strainer was piointing left and stopping the gauge at 1/4.
It is now pointing forward again and gauge is working properly.
