didou

Hello all,
I have a problem of oil leak at the entrance of the bridge, the spy joint which is behind the drive shaft,
I can not find the reference of this famous seal,
and would someone of you have already replaced him?
if so, I am interested in all your advice
good day and thanks in advance,
didou

Differential Side Axle Seal ? The seal where the stub axle goes through the differential case ?

merci Dave,

Didier

Thanks Dave

these are the two seals that are on each side of the differential,

where the half-shafts go,

thank you for telling me if that's right,

thank you Dave,

Didier

I cannot find a diagram to draw an arrow pointing to the seals, but according to the description on the parts, those are what you need. The parts at Corvette Central are 1 dollar American less than the ones from Zip Corvette, but since you have dealt with Zip before, you know that they will ship to you. I have done business with both companies.

Are you completely rebuilding the rear differential or just fixing the seals ?

amicalement
merci pour tout
Didier

I changed the seal of the entrance of the bridge with the reference that you had found me and now I would like to buy the 2 joints of the 1/2 trees in case I have a leak,

it is better to have sensitive parts on hand in case of breakdown,

do you know Dave if the shift cable for automatic transmission is easy to replace,

friendly

thank you for everything

Didier
