Default NOT Fixed!

After a day of flawless operation it happened again today. This time it just quit running and wouldn't restart.

Check for spark, fuel pressure and injectors pulsing

Fuel pressure good 42PSI, will NOT start with starting fluid so that exonerates the injectors …. looks like a no-spark condition.

See if you can find a nearby Autozone to test your ignition module

Default Turns out to be a bad HEI coil

I was going to pull the ICM and I replaced it about 2 weeks ago already but before I did I pulled the coil because it was less disassembly. It smelled burnt and It checked out bad, open circuit all connections. It must have been intermittent opening up when it got hot but after changing it for a new one it fired right up. I feel pretty confident that I finally tracked it down.
