What makes you so sure you need a new filter?

I've no idea why a person couldn't use the Rodney Dickman 3-wire. The 12088559 GM # was best I recall also a component of the later replacements for the GM 'tin bracket capacitor style'. I don't even know if RD is still around or not. I know guys that used the 3 wire for Fiero.

I'm pretty confident that a '91 filter was a 'module' similar to the actual part you melted/busted. I didn't look for the Eckler because the filter was a component of the harness and I believe I understand what it looked like. I believe I've actually seen To replace a filter on a '91 that you actually purchased the 12088559 and modified it for it's use. You are looking @ the 3 wire(center of page)? User 'AKLIM' I believe I've seen mention the '91 being a 'module' vs a 'can & bracket'. I've never owned an L98 or LT1. Your busted/melted has 2 white and a black - correct?

I also don't believe that Eckler links 'stick' and will just take you to the 'main page'. Eckler I believe is also a reseller of the 3 - wire like RD. 25-130429-1. Disregard the '75 - '89.
