Assembling my 89 C4 after a head gasket and had this nut and bolt in the bag marked "AC", but I do not see where they go.
Can you help?
The nut does not fit the bolt.

Not to worry, I always have a small bag of "spares" after I finish a job on my '88...

Do you have the brace from the compressor to exhaust manifold stud

YES! That has been installed.

Nut looks like a 3/8 for studed bolt ground wire, or bracket. 3/8 bolts with stud typically used on manifolds. A/C bracket does attach to AIR pump brackets
Bolt looks metric mostly attaches to components or aluminum brackets.
Where? No clue, you just have to.look. Mirror on a stick or bore scope could help peeking around obstacles.

Thanks, will do with the mirror and all. Decided to continue assembly, got all the front assembly done, serpentine belt installed, fuel rail on....still nothing....I keep looking, just hope I will not have to do a lot of disassembly once I determine where they go.... still looking

Lower bolt for alternator bracket? That one is easily left off.

Three for the air pump, two for the alternator, right?
