I dont think its possible anymore, the newer ones are too "smart" and put together well enough to practically defeat physics lol.
Maybe a tight autocross like a parking lot...now if it was a ***** out racecar rules permitting then they all become tube frames with riveted on panels whats the fun in that?

short course autocross like a parking lot you could probably outrun a lot of stock newer cars, weight is weight and the C4 is lighter. As soon as you have any straights and sweeping bends where weight isn't as critical, it won't even be close. It's a fantastic chassis and compared to the average vehicle is impressive... but the amount of money that would have to go into it to compete with a full blown race prepped vehicle... yea. Not going to happen unless you have an actual race team.

This part, for sure; I already out run stock or stockfish C5/6/7's at our auto-x events...and I out ran myself in my C4 vs. my C6.

On a bigger track, these guys are right...it would be a lot harder just b/c the new cars make driving fast "easier" or more attainable to the average person.

the electronic stability control type nannies (not sure if allowed in racing?) would be the biggest challenge

You can turn them off and all good drivers do. You're not winning any races with nannies turned on.
